Many of us feel we are losing democracy in real time. What role is the Supreme Court playing in this slow dance? Are the justices an active branch of government and guardians of the constitution, or are they taking sides with the Trump administration? Or are they simply sitting on the sidelines stymied by their own internal conflicts? In this second of our Democracy Cafe series, we're excited to present husband and wife team Nils Pederson and Joyce Francis as our expert facilitators. Their perspective from years of legal experience will help us unpack these perplexing issues and bring insight to current conflicts of interest.

Our first Democracy Cafe at the Paradise Cafe was hugely successful and brought over forty people together for a lively lunchtime discussion. It was bonding, inspiring and thought provoking. We expect nothing less from this event.
